Established in 1858 as the Baptist College at McMinnville, then later named McMinnville College, and was later renamed Linfield college in honor of Reverend George Fisher Linfield. On July 1, 2020, Linfield officially became Linfield University with a College of Arts & Sciences, School of Business, and the School of Nursing. . It is recognized on a national level for its pursuit of academic excellence and its commitment to international character and study abroad opportunities.
Arnott brings over a decade of HR experience, including nearly three years in Labor and Employee Relations leadership at Metro, a government administration that oversees significant aspects of infrastructure in the greater Portland region. Since 2018, she has also operated her own HR consulting firm, Elizabeth Arnott Consulting. She focuses on humanizing the employee experience and leading HR with integrity, creativity, and curiosity.
