Xavier University of Louisiana is a private, Catholic HBCU in New Orleans, Louisiana. Founded in 1925 by Katharine Drexel, Xavier University is the nation’s only Catholic HBCU, the first Catholic university to be founded by a saint, and the first Catholic university to accept students regardless of gender. Today, it is a highly ranked university with nearly fifty unique majors, including nationally recognized programs in the sciences and pre-medical majors.

 

Before joining Xavier University of Louisiana, Hilaire served as Regional Student Support Advisor at Chamberlain University. Hilaire has also worked in financial aid, admissions, and student support roles at other academic institutions, along with Human Resources and recruiting services earlier in her career. She brings almost two decades of experience in higher education, with a history of excellence in recruitment and retention, academic and financial advisement, and overall student support.
